What are the do's and don'ts of bartenders?

Don't be afraid to interrupt someone. Don't ask the bartender to change the music, play a song, or adjust the volume. Key waiter rules include cleanliness, accuracy, identity control, responsible alcoholic beverage service, and maintaining a positive attitude. Reinforce these standards during training through clear standard operating procedures and real-time feedback.

Lavu can support the application of these rules by automating checks and improving transaction tracking. The reason for this is that talented waiters train like athletes for these events, and they've never seen any other waiter do that before. I don't want to contribute to the whole bartender style argument, but I trained to be a “bartender” at the waiter school I went to. If you see a waiter giving Flair's waiter community a bad name, do him a favor and suggest he practice a thousand times at home before trying the Flair style at work.

The bar industry can be difficult, continue to provide feedback and be sure to reward your staff for a job well done with days off or fun waiter contests.
